Hunting Seasons/Prices
Minimum requirement:
Each farm has a different requirement. We have deer that are 120” and are fully mature. We also have some young deer pushing 160”. We even have a few that are pushing that 200” mark. When you arrive in Camp, you will be given a detailed briefing of every deer we have and also what deer are “non-target” deer. We will always do our part in getting on the class of deer you wish to hunt. In order to maintain herd health and age structure, we do everything to keep our young superstars alive until they are mature so YOU get the chance to harvest a Boone and Crockett deer!
Early Season Archery- Possibly the best hunting there is! Most deer are still on their summer ranges and easy to pattern! However natural food sources are changing! Acorns are starting to fall and soybean fields aren’t as attractive as they once were. No worries though, we have huge Oak flats, fall plots are in full swing, and you’ve got access to it all!
Rut Archery- Buckle up and hold on! We have stands designed just for rut hunting! If you plan on hunting during this time, we highly recommend you be fully caught up on sleep prior to your arrival. From the moment you climb into your set, KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED! You never know what giant will come cruising through looking for that hot doe! This is the most sought-after time to be in a deer stand!
Gun Season- Normally main rut has ended at this point. However, a few yearlings are coming into heat so you still may see some chasing! This is a great time to set up food sources as those bucks are searching for high-fat/carb/protein food sources to recover from a month of chasing the ladies!
Late Archery/Muzzleloader Season- Food, Food, Food! It’s no secret that late-season food sources are the trump card! We take pride in providing year-round, high-quality, diverse food sources for our deer. This time of the year with the right weather conditions can pull every deer around into our plots. The only question is, will you bring the setting in one of our 360 Hunting Blinds when they walk by?
Spring Turkey- We may specialize in Whitetail Deer, but that doesn’t mean we are strangers to the turkey woods! Many of us have competed on the national stage when it comes to spring gobblers! Meigs County has always been among the top counties in Ohio when it comes to Spring Turkey Harvests! When the sun peaks over the horizon in SE Ohio, the birds go CRAZY!
Youth Gun Season-Man to be a kid again. This 2-day gun hunt sets our youngsters up with a great opportunity! Most bucks are still cruising looking for the last of the does that need bred! This is the first time all season that guns are permitted to be used in the state of Ohio!
Alex Rutledge Turkey Camp- Come hunt with Alex and us! These dates are TBD. Follow us on Facebook for date confirmations! However, if you want to hunt with one of the best turkey hunters in the country, call now to be put on the list and we will contact you when the dates are set!
